Overview
Because God is a God of LOVE, He gives all His created beings throughout His vast Universe, FREEWILL. Some of the beings He created were called Angels. They too, had FREEWILL and the freedom to CHOOSE whether they would honour and respect their Creator, and follow the laws He put in place to preserve happiness, peace and joy, or whether to CHOOSE their own ways and do whatever they desired. The inevitable result of such a CHOICE would be sin, suffering and death. Over 6.000 years ago, Lucifer, a magnificent angel, leader of the heavenly hosts and master of the angelic choirs, decided he wanted to be like his Creator, and to be equal with God. He convinced a third of the angels to join with him and there was war in heaven! Our omnipotent, (all-powerful), loving Creator could have wiped them all out of existence with just one word, but that would be a demonstration of FORCE. All His creation would have been afraid of Him and be wondering if they made a mistake and did something He didn't like, that they would be wiped out as well. When this 6,000 year demonstration is ended, there will never be a need for a repeat demonstration. Only the scars in the hands and feet and side of Jesus will remind us of the results of sin. If ever anything evil or any evil being arose again, God would be perfectly justified in "nipping it in the bud", and all the Universe would say, "Amen! Hallelujah! Thank you! Thank you, Lord!"
