Angela Page's 'Speaking with My Second Mouth' is a collection of lyric and prose poems whose combined ambition is to travel deep into the human body--the mind, the heart, and the genitals--to explore the gray areas of human sexuality as well as the expectation of gender in a predominantly sexist and heterosexist world. In this exploration, Angela also chooses to go one step further, to bring sex, gender, and language 'home' --that is, to examine the impact of these gray areas in the lives of people we call our intimates: the people we love.
