LARGE PRINT EDITIONA Muddypuddle Lane RomanceCan a stubborn woman, a lonely man, and one irresistible dog create the perfect recipe for love?Nora Bunting can best be described as cuddly. With an aversion to exercise, an extremely sweet tooth and the menopause fast approaching, her middle-age spread is, well ... spreading.Happy with her curves, she has no intention of doing anything about her expanding waistline or squidgy bottom. However, during a routine doctor's appointment, she's given a life-changing diagnosis that leaves her reeling.Desperate to lose weight and take control of her health, she decides to adopt a rescue dog - because walking is exercise, right? And when she's introduced to a large fluffy dog called Biscuit, she thinks she's found her perfect exercise buddy. For someone who bakes bread, pies and pastries for a living, Elijah Grant is as thin as a whippet. The reason? He runs marathons. Lots of marathons. Not only does he love taking part, but running helps him connect with his grown-up son; and it also gives him something to do in his spare time, which he seems to have an awful lot of.However, there's only so much running a person can do, and when injury forces him to hang up his trainers, he realises just how empty his life has become. Hoping a canine companion will ease his crushing loneliness, he falls in love with a dog called Biscuit.Unfortunately, someone else has also set their heart on the dog...As Nora and Elijah battle it out for Biscuit's affections, could a shared love for one very special dog lead to something neither of them expected?A heartwarming, sweet, and uplifting later-in-life love story, this small-town romance follows a curvy heroine, where opposites attract, pets play matchmaker, and midlife romance proves that love is timeless. This is the second book in The Forever Home on Muddypuddle Lane series.TROPESOpposites attractEnemies to loversCosy vibesClose knit communityReally sweet dog!Quaint village settingClosed door
