People's Identity : Race And Racism

Ours is and will remain a world of racial identities. White people have become defined by our rejection of racism, but only our racism, creating a series of paradoxes in our attitudes to race.If white people examined the past and present honestly, we'd see ourselves as other races see themselves. We'd enjoy the loyalties other races enjoy. Carrying the white man and woman's burden, we give up so much to help other races, especially at the expense of our poor and vulnerable, while absolving other races of responsibility for their lives and histories.
