Overview
The story of the 1975 women's football team which represented Australia in the 1975 Asian Ladies Championship, but have not been officially capped as Matildas. The team placed third in the championship, were sanctioned by the Australian Soccer Federation under the chairmanship of Sir Arthur George, and have had an almost 50-year fight to be recognised as the 'first Matildas'.
