Overview
Is the essence of the spiritual life performing religious activities such as reading the Bible, praying, witnessing, attending church, and giving money? Is it abstaining from a man-made list of activities? As a result of differences of opinion as to how to live a spiritual life, many Christians are confused. Is the essence of the spiritual life performing religious activities such as reading the Bible, praying, witnessing, attending church, and giving money? Is it abstaining from a man-made list of activities? Is a crisis experience such as "full surrender" the key to the spiritual life? Is the believer to "get going" or "let go and let God?" In other words, is the means of the spiritual life active or passive? After studying in detail and preaching through every book of the New Testament, G. Michael Cocoris wrote The Spiritual Life: Clarifying the Confusion. It clarifies the confusion by comprehensively explaining what the New Testament teaches about the spiritual life from its foundation to its goal. It demonstrates that the New Testament model of spiritual life is growth from spiritual immaturity to spiritual maturity, and it explains in detail what Christ-like spiritual maturity is and the means to obtain it.
