Overview
How can children in different places around the world have the same dream? Because they are in Kheru Nefer: Beautiful Night, a portal to ancient Egypt and the men, women and children who lived there. Take your child on a walk through history to learn about one of the oldest and most magnificent civilizations the world has known, and the exploits of its most accomplished royal couples. The rhythmic, repetitive and patterned language of this picture book will immerse your child in the imagery, language, music and dance of this ancient African nation. Yes, this book series includes music and dance! But it does not stop there. Kheru Nefer: Beautiful Night (Kings and Queens) is really three history books for three different groups of children. This book is for Beginning readers, estimated ages zero to six. Share with a child the book that is best for her. You can give books to children of different developmental levels.
