Overview
Long ago, an evil woman bent on destroying the world escaped through a portal into the future. But the future is now. There's something here she wants, and if she gets it, nothing will stop her. It's up to Nicholas, a guardian, to find and protect the one with the power to stop her. Nicholas has waited centuries for the druid to be born. He finds Sophia at six-years-old. She's dirty, hungry, scared, and abandoned in an alley. He places her in a safe home and vows to protect her from afar while giving her the life she deserves. The least he can do is make sure she has a few years of happiness. All Sophia's ever wanted is to belong, but no matter what she tries, she can't fully embrace life with this destiny looming over her. She's the first druid to have all four magical powers awaken inside her, and if she can't master them, she'll go insane. It makes it hard to worry about normal girl problems, like school dances and shopping trips. Then there's her guardian, Nicholas--beautiful, kind, and perfect Nicholas. She would give anything for him to see her as more than a responsibility, but she fears he will always look at her and see a child. The entire world needs Sophia, but she feels completely alone. Nicholas guides her as she journeys to Ireland and learns to deal with her new abilities. Will she overcome her fears and stand on her own? And will Nicholas be able to step back and let her? Especially since it's all his fault.
