Overview
At the age of 15, Katie Cosgrove lost her father. Then, between the ages of 15 and 21, she lost a friend, family member or pet every year. I'll See You in Your Dreams Tonight is the book she wishes she'd had-a heartwarming tale that teaches children how to process their grief and loss in a healthy and positive way. Through gentle, poetic language, it offers comfort and hope to children who have experienced-or are struggling with-the death of a loved one. Representing families of all backgrounds, I'll See You in Your Dreams Tonight shows children that they can still have adventures, both magical and mundane, with loved ones who have passed on-whether meeting amazing creatures in wild and far off places or simply sharing secrets together and telling each other stories. With beautiful illustrations and a touching message, I'll See You in Your Dreams Tonight offers families a space to discuss death and grief in a loving and compassionate way-and supports children through big emotions by showing them that remembrance and storytelling can keep their relationships with lost loved ones alive. I'll See You in Your Dreams Tonight is a must-read for all family members who have experienced loss and are looking for a way to heal.
