Overview
Michael Harthino, warrior prince of Artalland, finds himself stripped of power and disgraced after risking everything to save his men in battle. Reeling from his loss and with the unwelcome aid of Sharona, an enigmatic mage who was also stripped of her military commission, Michael begins to discover the threads of betrayal in his father's inner circle and sets about to cut them. But Michael is a soldier, not a politician, and the machinations of his brother Johan and the alluring Mage-Queen Alanrae, of rival kingdom Ferralla, may prove to be far deadlier than a battle...Needle Ash is a new high fantasy story taking cues from contemporary favorites like Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, set in a world where magic is drawn from the remnants of creation and the realm of the Fay, where dreams and reality, concept and form, image and feeling, are one and the same.
