Overview
This is a collection of brief essays describing moonshining in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia over the past century, stories of people I knew who made, sold, and drank illegal liquor made in stills cobbled up from what ever materials were available in an impoverished place and time. Many of the people involved were family members.
