Overview

This series was recognized by the North Street Book Awards. Doctor Leonard Wise, parapsychologist, university professor and civilian consultant for the Mountainview police must face his most frightening challenge: Thanksgiving with his estranged family. At the same time, Detective Bill McGee needs Len's help on a baffling case. The evidence points to a team of thieves that had broken up years earlier. Yet it seems they have reunited to reinstate a campaign of specific burglaries that leave little forensic evidence. The most troubling thing is that the man who led the group died six years earlier. This takes Len into the strange world of Santeria and deep into the cult of Santa Muerte: Saint Death. There he must face the power of an evil Palero, who has abilities that may reach beyond death itself.
