Has there ever been a more unanimous question when it comes to God than, "If God is good then why ...?" or "Why would a good God ...?" There is a resounding frustration, wonder, and desire to both know a good God and know why the terrible things in life can happen with a good God in control of everything. There is no simple answer to a question with such magnitude. This book relied on many others and does not dream that it can ease the pain or suffering in life. The goal of this book is to bring perspective more than answers and to bring hope in the midst of so much despair. The intention for this book is that through a series of topics pertaining to how God is good in different circumstances found in God's Word we would be able to understand how God is good. The individual answers to why different terrible tragedies happen is not an answer that anyone should imagine to have. But, through God's Word we are able to understand certain circumstances through His perspective and purposes. We are able to see a picture of who God is, and who He is not. Through God's Word we are able to define God by His actions, His insight, and His purposes through His account of life from the moment of creation itself.
