Overview
Patrick O'Connell is loving life. He has a wife he adores, a daughter he cherishes, and nowhere to go in life but up. When his good-hearted nature leads him into a dark alley with an unnatural beast, his idyllic world is stripped away, along with his humanity. Having been transformed into a blood-thirsty Werewolf, Patrick must find a way to survive-not only the physical changes brought on by the full moon, but life under the thumb of a ruthless leader who would murder him without a second thought. Through it all, Patrick has but one goal: Getting his family back.Author's Note: "Bitter Beginnings" is the first book in a four-part series chronicling Patrick O'Connell's journey from family man to Pack leader. While the series stands firmly on its own, the story is based on a major reveal presented at the end of "Sweet Vengeance," Book One in the Jessica Sweet Trilogy. To avoid spoilers, it is strongly recommended that you begin the Journey with Sweet Vengeance.
