WHY THIS BOOK? Youths are today faced with challenges never confronted by their parents. Today, never like before, we have terrorism, unbridled nuclear testing, massive flooding, environmental degradation, trigger happy police, recession and joblessness. Time was when as you are leaving secondary school, a job will be knocking at your door. Time was when while you are yet in the university or polytechnic, reputable companies would come calling with job offers for both the brilliant and the not so brilliant. All that is now gone with the wind. Today, working parents are not paid. The working class is not able to buy food talk less of indulging in non-vital purchases. Their buying power is completely eroded by recession and similar disasters. The youths are the hardest hit. They roam the streets with worthless papers called degrees. Many were taught with curricula that did not include job creation or even entrepreneurship. Some schools raise people who know all the terminology and grammar but not how to put food on their table. This book aims to reverse this trend of joblessness not only among the jobless but retirees who may be retired but not tired. The book is deliberately kept short and simple. The idea is to enable somebody go through it as many times as possible and within the shortest possible times until the ideas are fully internalized. Care has also been taken to see that the suggestions are practical and actionable. There is nothing in this book that relates to rocket science.
