Eine Auswahl von Gedichten der preisgekrönten kanadischen Autorin und Dichterin Cathy McGough. Cathy McGough begann bereits in der High School mit dem Schreiben von Gedichten. Ihr allererstes Gedicht mit dem Titel "Der Anfang" ist in dieser Sammlung enthalten, die sie ihren Eltern und ihrer Großmutter gewidmet hat, die "selbst eine Dichterin war". Cathy, die in Stratford, Ontario, Kanada, geboren wurde, wurde von Shakespeare und anderen Dichtern wie Shelley, Tennyson und Wordsworth beeinflusst, aber auch von kanadischen Dichtern wie James Reaney und Earl Birney, die sie einmal bei einer Lesung in der Stratford Public Library kennengelernt hat. Cathy began writing poetry when she was in High School and her very first poem entitled "The Beginning" is included in this collection which she has dedicated to her parents and her grandmother who was "a poet in her own right." Cathy, who was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, was influenced by Shakespeare and other poets such as Shelley, Tennyson and Wordsworth in addtion to Canadian Poets including James Reaney and Earl Birney who she met once at a reading at The Stratford Public Library. She is an avid reader of the poetry of Mary Oliver and hopes to one day grow up and be her.
