Overview

Kids with Special Needs - this refers to any child who may need extra help because of a medical, emotional, or learning problem. These children have special needs. They may need medication, therapy, or extra help in their daily lives. This extra help includes things that other children do not usually need, or only need occasionally. Children who need a wheelchair to get around, or who use canes to walk, have special needs that the childminder should be aware of. Not only do these children need equipment that helps them move around, but they may also need to have a ramp or elevator available. A child may have a specific problem that isn't obvious unless you know them well.
