Overview
The book is a step taken at unraveling the true practice of librarianship to the understanding of all and sundry. It is aimed at informing the general public what librarianship is in practice; to librarians-what their roles are; to potential librarians-what it will take them into becoming professional librarians, and to the library users-what they should expect from a library and a librarian in the area of service provision. Generally, the book treated librarianship as a concept and practice; Library; librarians and their roles, the new concept of librarianship in an era of information and communication technology (ICT) which is Library and Information Science (LIS) and the totality of Library and Information Science Education (LISE). The book is therefore a compass to locating information and the key to acquiring knowledge in a century in which information is growing in an astronomical proportion. So with the desired information at your disposal, one can say you have what it takes to RULE YOUR WORLD.
