The problems of sulphur deficiency and its effect on oil seed crops are quite old but the magnitude and intensity of such soils is increasing due to usage of high analysis fertilizers, improper nutrient management and crop based nutrient requirements. Further the situation has become even more worst due to non-scientific nutrient application and management practices. Considering all these problems, the authors felt it is necessary to write this text book "Sulphur and its inevitability in sesamum". In order to impart the importance of sulphur in oil seeds and ways to increase the vegetative growth, yield and economy in sesamum production.
