Overview

Foreign policy is concerned with the conditions under which a state power functions, acts and reacts, determined by its external problems, in the knowledge that the scene of international life floats continuously between cooperation or interdependence and conflict between actors. This comprehensive work on foreign policy is designed as a toolbox from which students and researchers can draw ideas for their own research. It offers an epistemological analysis of the conception, development, implementation and evaluation of an actor's outward-looking activities. This book is a documentary collection that has enabled the author to offer a generalized look at foreign policy that any learner or researcher can use to better understand it, but above all to apply it in order to participate directly or indirectly in the rational decision-making process of his or her country's foreign policy.
