Overview
A first collection of poems by Sarah Winek. A proudly neurodiverse writer - who doesn't take herself (or life) too seriously, is devoted to writing and does this with her ADHD heart firmly on her sleeve. Sarah conceived the contents of 1981 through creative experimentation, and by nurturing a deep love of language . Each poem in this collection represents a memory, feeling or experience since her life began in 1981. If you are interested in poetry, you know beyond doubt that poems are; and have always been, universally understood beyond the printed verse. 1981 is full of rhyme that doesn't overthink itself, merely lexical play that aspires to translate the beautiful messiness of human emotion through poetry
