This book comprises a collection of Ambassador Trigunayat's comments and articles on recent developments in our critical extended neighborhood of West Asia over a period of 3-4 years. West Asia is possibly the most important strategic geography for India for energy security, economic growth and expatriates who contribute to both the development of India and their host countries. Present government has rightly accorded highest priority to developing close and strategic ties with several countries in the region especially from the GCC. India has also extended her outreach in regional and sub-regional formats like I2U2, IUSU and IMEEC which was missing.
