Overview

Paolo the Pig is joining the zodiac race, but not for winning! Why would he join a race if he didn't want to win? Paolo loves food far more than running, but he realizes that exercise can be a good thing. The race will be challenging, with tall mountains, a deep dark forest and a freezing river waiting for him. Will he make it to the end? Join Paolo's adventure as he learns about helping people, staying fit, and why it's not nice to make fun of others ! Little readers will find out about how Paolo the Pig wins his place in the zodiac, and also learn the order in which all the zodiac animals were placed in the race. W C Jefferson's charming rhymes and T F Wister's whimsical drawings bring to life a new version of an ancient tale of how the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac came to have a year named after them.
