Duke Orsat had wanted a war. He hadn't cared if his soldiers were willing or conscripted when he marched them away to their fate. The potential of the far reaching consequences of his actions never even crossed his mind as all the women had been left to fend for themselves. Six years passed before finally; a message was delivered that the war was over. If that was true, the villagers had wondered, where were their men? No one came home until one day a lone, badly wounded soldier arrived on horseback, carrying grim news for Keirrah and the town of Windhorse.
