Overview
Once you enter, there's no escape. When Mara Davis's brother vanishes into the Appalachian foothills, all she finds is his motorcycle abandoned by an old trailhead-and his photo tacked to the wall of missing persons at a lonely truck stop called The Last Stop.Determined to bring him home, Mara follows his trail into the Hollowing Wood, a forest steeped in centuries of disappearances and whispered legends of the Lantern Man. Inside, time bends, paths shift, and voices call in the ones you most long to hear. Shoes hang like trophies in the trees. Journals and final notes litter the ground. And in the shadows, something waits-patient, ancient, and hungry. As the storm builds, Mara must face the same choice that claimed those before her: surrender to the voice that wears her brother's name...or resist and risk vanishing into the Hollow forever.A haunting blend of Appalachian folklore and psychological horror, The Hollowing Wood is a chilling descent into grief, obsession, and the price of following the wrong light in the dark.
