Overview
The first year of college is a challenging time. There are many "firsts" that happen that first year, and it is during that time that young people begin to figure out who they really are, what their values are, and what their purpose is in life. From the moment a young person leaves home, the strings that once attached them to their parents and the home of their youth begin to get cut, a few at a time, until that person is now an independent adult, making their mark on society. This devotional is 40 weeks of daily Bible readings covering the many challenges a first-year college student will encounter. Topics such as leaving home, friendship, relationships, anxiety, time management, and many more are covered, all with the purpose of keeping students focused on Christ through verses from God's Word teaching and encouraging them as they encounter new experiences while navigating their new-found freedom. My prayer is that these devotions keep our students Kingdom-minded as they encounter a world that is becoming increasingly hostile towards Christ.
