Eris Serafin has spent the last thirteen months in jail for her crimes against the Kingdom of Nyscrea. When an unlikely source comes to free her from her captivity, she finds herself thrust into a whole new kind of prison, one which she must fight to survive. Fort Olympus is the capital of the kingdom, castle to the king, as well as the training grounds for the most elite soldiers and their dragons. Due to Eris Serafin's ability to control the shadows, she's placed into the dark halls underground to learn from the best how to fight a civil war that has been raging for nine years. But not all is well in Fort Olympus, and as Eris soon finds out, the authority is in desperate need of her unique services. Anthony Marquez, the kingdom's most decorated soldier for his age, has been assigned to get Eris up to speed on all she needs to know, however the two don't see eye to eye. Bad blood makes working together difficult, compounded by the intensifying war threatening to close in on the kingdom from all sides. The Godless are getting stronger, and it's going to require a unification of resources the likes of which Nyscrea has never seen before. Will Eris be strong enough to outlast the fighting, or succumb to her inherited darkness?
