Since their appearance on the battlefields of the First World War, tanks have evolved along with the way of waging war, and it can even be said that war itself has adapted to the development of armored weapons.This guide analyzes the emergence of tanks, breaking down each technological generation and its advances: from infrared to modern thermal cameras, including composite and reactive armor.In the second half of the book, each Western and Russian tank model is analyzed one by one, with a section dedicated to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Israeli tanks.Finally, concepts are developed such as the parts into which a battle tank is divided, the suspension, the gun, the ammunition, or the type of running gear that is mounted, without forgetting such important concepts as the armor classes or the size of the turret.
