Overview
What if the smallest creatures hold the greatest truths? And what if humanity's fate rests on understanding them?Koki isn't human. He's an intelligent, conscious being from a world destroyed by catastrophe-a survivor now inhabiting the most unexpected refuge: the mind of Dr. Albert Tarasenko, a human scientist who risked everything on a forbidden, experimental vaccine.Initially, Albert believes he's experiencing side effects. But as Koki's voice becomes undeniable, a startling connection forms. They share perspectives, grappling with vast philosophical questions about God, fate, free will, and the intricate tapestry of existence, viewed from both the microscopic and macroscopic levels.Their strange symbiosis is shattered by a terrifying prophecy delivered by Teklia, an enigmatic seer: Earth is doomed to follow Koki's world, facing imminent destruction during the summer solstice. Guided only by Teklia's visions and pursued by the consequences of Albert's actions, they must undertake a desperate journey to a remote lighthouse in Venezuela, seeking answers that science alone cannot provide. The Great Creature or the Small World is a captivating blend of imaginative science fiction, profound philosophical inquiry, and gripping human drama. It explores the ethics of scientific discovery, the challenges of communication across unimaginable divides, the resilience of life, and the haunting question of what comes after the end.Fans of thought-provoking speculative fiction like Ted Chiang's "Story of Your Life" and unique concepts like "Project Hail Mary" will be enthralled by this original story.
