Claudia Campbell, a brilliant American ballerina had become world famous for her amazing performances on stage. She was handpicked by the Russian Bolshoi Ballet Academy, but her life became complicated when she fell in love with the Bolshoi orchestra conductor, Nikolai Chapelle, who was trapped in a marriage to a seriously mentally disturbed woman. When Claudia discovered she was pregnant, she had to leave her sensational career and abandon her aspirations of future fame. She knew she could not bring up a child alone, so sadly, adoption was the only solution which she accepted although the thought of her child's destiny continued to haunt her. Nikolai, the baby's father, planned for pregnant Claudia to be cared for by relatives in France. Without consulting Claudia, he meticulously planned to change his current life, adopt the child and eventually be with Claudia and the child as a family. But he was forced to face a series of surprising and appalling events that became life-threatening to the baby and Claudia and impacted his out-of-the-box plans for their future together. A shocking accidental murder and a consequent unforeseen death strangely opened the way for Claudia and Nikolai to emerge into a new family life.
