Overview
The world has gone wrong, very wrong, as we all know. We could have a very good life, but we rush around chasing shadows and getting nowhere. Suspicion, mistrust and fear intrude peoples' lives and the international community. We should have much better lives than we do. The starting point is to take a distant view, God's view, and apply the teaching of Jesus. We recognize and abandon self-centeredness. We do not shun and criticize people, we help them to see things in a truer way. We avoid giving hurts. We understand each other and help each other along. Our guiding principle is Jesus' Principle of Love: love your neighbour, love your 'enemy'. Love is not a feeling, nor is it agreeing. It is wanting the best for the person. God's love is less he loves me, it is more his love flows through me to others. That builds personal and community relations. We have the words of Jesus to show the way and the Holy Spirit to guide us along. Our opponent is not people, it is The Evil One. Jesus defeated him on the Cross. God created the world. He uses us to rebuild it as he intended it to be, as much as we will cooperate. We are his children. He is our Father. We form a happy, good living and fruitful family under him. We fill our lives and the world with all things that are good, beautiful, uplifting, true - that which has eternal value.
