Anthropological and ethnological/ethnographic studies of a Hokkien-speaking Chinese in Georgetown, Penang Island, Malaysia, based upon graduate studies in anthropology and ethnographic fieldwork conducted on Penang between 1987 and 1995. This work was originally a synoptic report provided to the Pacific Cultural Foundation as a requirement of their generous research grant.
