Overview
In this book, Kate is in a desperate need of a new heart and only has about two weeks to get it or she will die. With little time on her side, Kate and Roger had to sell everything they had and were still short of $5000 needed to pay off the balance for the surgery. With nowhere else to turn, Roger had no other choice but to borrow the money from a drug lord. And in return, Roger would have to pay back double within 30 days. After going through all kind of hell trying to repay his debt, he still fell short of paying the money back on time. Roger was taken by gun point out of his truck, and ended up being beaten by the drug lord.
