Overview
In 50 years of speaking in a variety of churches and synagogues, I have discovered that most people don't read "the Bible." Worse, many don't understand what they read because they don't think about what they don't think about what they read. They are completely taken in by the standard interpretations they received from their religious "leaders." This volume contains 30 essays, each on a single story or idea or topic that I found interesting. Or I found that standard homilies got it so very wrong. Or I thought there was a new way of looking at it.
