Overview
As Earth braces for annihilation from a catastrophic asteroid collision, humanity's final legacy is launched into the stars: self-replicating seed ships designed to resurrect Earth's life from DNA across the galaxy. Katharina, born as a beta-test human in Earth's final hours, becomes the lens through which we witness the end of our world and the rebirth of life on distant, alien planets.Over hundreds of thousands of years, through Katharina's eyes and those of her myriad copies, we explore new worlds. Each story spans different planets where Katharina's experiences diverge under the influences of nature and nurture, weaving a tapestry of adventures that reveal the resilience and adaptability of life.As these stories converge in a distant future, they paint a picture of evolution beyond imagination-where humanity and machine merge into a transcendent new existence. Join Katharina in a journey not just through space, but through the evolution of life itself, as she seeks to understand what it means to be human in a universe that continuously redefines the boundaries between organic and artificial.
