Kimber is finally getting her life on track. She's got a great career as a school counselor, she's settled in to her new apartment and volunteers at the local animal shelter in her spare time. She has never felt more confident that this is exactly where she's supposed to be. At twenty-six she's got it all figured out, until one day her phone rings and what she's told on the other end will change her life forever. Keiran's life is finally starting to settle down. He is settled in with the Hartford Huskies having just signed a new contract. Despite being a younger member of the team, he's got it all together, or does he? He is a strong, independent hockey player, but has had his fair share of tragedy. When he catches wind of a breaking story involving the woman he just met and her niece, he's all about trying to support them and make them realize that after every storm there's a rainbow, no matter how long it takes to show up.
