Overview
In this paper, I analyse the development of economies from two opposite sides of the globe: Europe and the West versus China. I present an overview of the events that lead to the industrialization process separately for the two geographic regions as well as in comparison with each other. I also perform an investigation in accordance with the period and try to find reasons that explain the divergence of the two economies over time. Based on the literature review, I pose three research questions at the beginning of the paper and I try to deliver answers to them throughout our analysis, according to existing studies.
