Living Dreams is a story about the struggles between good and bad. A story that explores the mind of man and gets deep into his thinking process. The central figure is Mahembe who is arrested for "illegally" occupying someone's piece of land. His family, church priest, relatives and neigbhours go through trial and tribulation to get his freedom. The issues are seen basically through the eyes of women, bringing out the gender aspect to the land question. The story manages to bring out the other side of the Zimbabwean land question. It also brings out how the modern legal system can alienate itself from the common person.
