Overview
Maura Quarrels doesn't realize she's dead until her college roommate (deceased) shows up and invites her to join The Dead Mothers' Club. Maura is excited--what better way to maintain control over her teenagers and husband? But it's not that simple. The DMC has strict rules. Will Maura obey or risk banishment to... hell? And where is her own mother, who died when Maura was young? Doesn't she care enough to be here? Maura's frustration peaks when she finds out her teenagers are ruining their lives, and her husband has moved his girlfriend into the house. Interwoven are the stories of Maura's childhood, her troubled relationship with her college roommate, and the secret that roommate is still keeping from Maura, even after death.
