Overview

The purpose of this book is to examine if certain leadership behaviors could be used to identify toxic leaders in an organization and to determine a relationship between specific behaviors and toxic leadership. Leadership is said to be the driving force behind the success of the organization as leadership not only sets the goals and the direction of the organization, but leaders also set the climate and demonstrate the actions and attitudes which define the organization. Having the right people, in the right place, and at the right time can make the difference between success and failure of any organization. When inadequate, incapable, or negative leaders exist within an organization, these organizations face a myriad of issues from high turnover, low ethics and morals, poor employee buy-in, lack of support by employees for the goals of the organization, and even burnout and animosity.
