In the story, Koala Girl shares her appreciation of the differences she sees in herself and all of her friends. Her message is that there is nothing wrong with looking, feeling, or doing things differently than your friends. Koala Girl encourages young children to be brave enough to be themselves and kind enough to welcome and appreciate the diversity of others.
