Overview
A Price to Pay is set in Ireland and England in the 1940's - 1960's. It deals with the twinned destinies of an Aunt and her nephew. The narrative is punctuated by a history of the novel from Ireland written in English that is allegedly composed by the nephew. Combining sometimes comic address with tragic circumstance the work is quirky, varied, engrossing, informative and unique.
