Overview

Everything that is born will inescapably also die. In a way, this makes death the only thing that gives life meaning. But some people go beyond the concepts, to immerse themselves in the mysteries of death. Forensic doctors, for example, do so through the study of cadavers. While biologists do so through their fascination with all forms of life.It was in the fall, in the legendary city of London, that Dr. Simpson and Professor von Helversen, along with a group of students from the International Baccalaureate of the Charles Darwin Institute, were witness to a complete autopsy. The resulting lesson was so unique that it would never be forgotten by that handful of students. The reader will live the drama intensely, as if he or she were there in the Scotland Yard morgue, listening to all the conversations of the doctor and the teacher. And through this means, will also explore human nature in its essential form of energy and matter, governed by a minute physiological system, which although often forgotten, is crucial to understanding human behavior. This story portrays how death walks daily hand in hand with life, and peeks out at us at every turn. And yet, we never know just how, when and where we will meet it. www.hamersalazar.com
