Overview
These twelve stories are set during the turbulent time of Colonel Custer and Major Reno who faced Sitting Bull in the battle of the Little Big Horn and Henry Plumber, the outlaw sheriff of Bannack, the leader of road agents preying on gold shipments and who along with his chief deputy was hanged by the vigilantes in Bannack in 1864. Mixed the character of these men, good and bad, in a bowl, and add the wealth of the area, and you have created the climate that produced the men in these stories.
