Overview

The Jesus I Know: Yeshua the Messiah develops how God's plan for the predicted Messiah is the very center of Old Testament theology. Many current hermeneutical approaches to Old Testament prophecy promote a New Testament priority that re-signifies Old Testament verbal meaning or a historicocritical approach that denies futurism and the inner continuity of Scripture. This book demonstrates how the biblical authors develop a cumulating case for the Messiah and His work while respecting the historically conditioned, single-meaning intention of each author. This study develops some of the most outstanding and incomparable predications of the Messiah, tracing His presence, power, and progress through the history of this world and through the Bible. Dr. Kaiser illustrates how the seed promise of Genesis 3:15 is developed and expanded throughout the Old Testament while demonstrating how the Old Testament predictions fit within the New Testament.
