Shaw, Mississippi native Ecir Nivek was the #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft out of Norfolk State University, an HBCU in Norfolk, Virginia. But, after five record-breaking seasons, a horrific injury plagued his career. Ecir was miserably married with twin sons, My'Aire and My'Cere, and he was the eldest of five children.
