Overview
Well, no one could want to poison Percy Laity - could they? His bout of illness following dining at a local cafe, and with gossip spreading, will create chaos and fear amongst local people. A fatal meal, followed by more sickness and other sinister crimes cause the Falmouth police to be firmly under pressure to find the perpetrator. Meanwhile, George Bartlett is kicking his heels, having been forced into early retirement due to a complaint lodged against him previously. Archibald Boase has lost Irene - the love of his life and can see no way forward without her.
