Originally published in 1880, this is a succinct account of the Talmud with its siz orders (Sedarim), seventy-one Massictoth and 633 Perakim, and 4187 Mishnaoith. A considerable part of the Mishna has been at different times translated into English and other modern languages, and to many theologians it has been known as a whole by the magnificent work of Surenhusius.
