La Traverse

La Traverse is inspired by Shakespeare's "Venus and Adonis." In Shakespeare's story, the Goddess Venus was at a twist with love, while the brazen sportsman's love for the game took some compromising turns. A dashing Adonis could not commit his time to beautiful Venus; instead, he preferred to hunt in the wild. In this separate story, it all begins with a separation between Venus and Adonis because of his premature death. After Adonis crosses unto the other side, will he adapt to the nature of the new world, or will he hold on to his past life? This story crosses many boundaries. Songs like "I Need a Spark" and "Lighter Fluid" complement Creole poem "Sous-Ivye (Winter-Spring)" and French poem "Pri?re Prom?th?enne (Promethean Prayer)."
