Overview
A young girl's mother commits suicide on her 16th birthday. Soon after her father sends her to live with a Grandmother she's never met on a mysterious island in the Gulf of Mexico 36 miles from the Louisiana Coast. Once there she encounters a woman more harsh and cruel than anyone she's ever known yet at the same time begins to piece together the fragments of her family's past.
